That my will moves my arm is not more intelligible to me than if somebody said to me that he could stop the moon in its orbit.
         Immanuel Kant
The aspects of things that are most important for us are hidden because of their simplicity and familiarity. The real foundations of his enquiry do not strike a man at all.

Those who refuse to go beyond fact, rarely go as far...

I’m Research Director of
C-FAR, the Centre for Fundamental and Anomalies Research.C-FAR conducts research aimed at developing a coherent and valid understanding of the nature of the world and our place in it, in order to derive technologies and insights that will enhance human welfare and promote positive social change.
My work involves the development of structured and systematic approaches to the study of controversial or open issues in science and philosophy, and making the fundamental concepts involved in such research precise and clear.
I'm interested in the mounting evidence suggesting that the orthodox scientific models will not be able to fully explain our experience of ourselves and our environment. The indications are that the world is complex in ways that question materialism, and interactively connected in ways that challenge reductionism. Through my work with C-FAR I hope to contribute to the building of a deeper and more competent paradigm.
